Thane Police Sub-Inspector Killed in Attack

A 56-year-old police sub-inspector, Kisan Bhoir, was fatally attacked by a history-sheeter named Raju Valmiki in Thane's Pokhran 2 area. The incident occurred when police confronted Valmiki for creating a nuisance while drinking alcohol near a paan stall. Valmiki allegedly became violent, attacked Bhoir with a cement block, and attempted to flee. Bhoir was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival. A murder case has been registered against Valmiki, who has previous theft cases.
