Actress Sonarika Bhadoria, known for her role as Parvati in 'Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev', has spoken out about salary discrimination in the television industry. She revealed that she was removed from a show after demanding a fee increase, despite the show's TRP ratings improving significantly. Bhadoria stated that her male co-star's salary was tripled after he threatened to leave, while her own pay remained unchanged. She also noted similar pay disparities in the South Indian film industries, where male actors receive substantially higher remuneration.

टीवी एक्ट्रेस सोनारिका भदौरिया, जो 'देवों के देव...महादेव' में पार्वती के रोल के लिए जानी जाती हैं, ने टेलीविज़न इंडस्ट्री में सैलरी डिस्क्रिमिनेशन के बारे में बात की है। उन्होंने बताया कि फीस बढ़ाने की मांग करने के बाद उन्हें एक शो से हटा दिया गया था, जबकि शो की टीआरपी रेटिंग्स में काफी सुधार हुआ था। भदौरिया ने कहा कि उनके मेल को-स्टार का वेतन तीन गुना कर दिया गया था जब उन्होंने शो छोड़ने की धमकी दी थी, जबकि उनका अपना वेतन अपरिवर्तित रहा। उन्होंने साउथ इंडियन फिल्म इंडस्ट्री में भी इसी तरह के वेतन अंतर को नोट किया, जहाँ मेल एक्टर्स को काफी ज़्यादा फीस मिलती है।
