The accused, including 19-year-old Suhail Sajeev who allegedly drove under the influence of alcohol, and three co-passengers, were arrested by Nedumbassery police. The court heard arguments from both prosecution and defence, with the defence challenging the culpable homicide charge and alleging biased investigation. The prosecution countered pleas for leniency by highlighting the young age of the three victims.
