Bihar Food Safety Drive Seizes Adulterated Milk, Water, and Sauces

Bihar's health department conducted a food safety drive to, seizing over 150 litres of adulterated milk, 200 kg of contaminated paneer, and hundreds of bottles of expired sauces. Packaged drinking water from prominent brands was also seized, with prosecution initiated in 13 cases. Over 812 food samples were collected, revealing adulteration, contamination, and unsafe ingredients like metanil yellow and lead chromate in turmeric powder. Spoiled food products, including milk laced with formalin and expired beverages, were destroyed during the inspections across various districts.
