Income Tax Dept Nudges UAE Property Owners to Disclose Undeclared Assets

The Income-Tax Department has begun contacting select taxpayers who own undeclared properties in the UAE. This initiative is part of the government's Foreign Assets of Small Taxpayers, Disclosure Scheme, 2026 (FAST-DS), offering a one-time opportunity to declare foreign assets and income. The scheme, launched on August 16, allows eligible taxpayers to disclose undisclosed foreign assets and income upon paying a specified tax or fee. The deadline for this voluntary disclosure is December 31, 2026.
