Raised Drain and Uneven Road Create Hazard for Two-Wheelers in Perambur
Times of India · automobile
Two-wheeler riders in Perambur, Chennai, are facing significant difficulties navigating a busy junction due to a 1.5-foot-high stormwater drain and an uneven road surface. Workers reportedly laid the road without proper milling, creating a sharp level difference that makes crossing hazardous, especially for those turning from Venkatraman Canal Street onto Perambur High Road. Despite assurances from a zonal officer to create a proper gradient, debris was dumped at the site, worsening the obstruction.
