The Election Commission of India (ECI) has submitted an affidavit to the Supreme Court, asserting that all three orders regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls were unanimous decisions. These orders were issued in June 2025, October 2025, and May 2026. The ECI stated that the counter-affidavit itself received unanimous approval from the Chief Election Commissioner and both Election Commissioners. This filing addresses petitions that had raised questions about the functioning of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
