Delhi Air Quality Crosses 400 Mark; Strict GRAP-2 Restrictions Implemented

Delhi's air quality has deteriorated significantly, with the AQI exceeding 400 in several areas just before Diwali. Locations like ITO and India Gate recorded AQI levels of 349 and 335 respectively, indicating a sharp increase of approximately 150 points in the last three days. In response to the worsening pollution, the GRAP Stage-II has been enforced across Delhi-NCR. This activation brings stringent restrictions on vehicular movement, parking, and construction activities to combat the hazardous air.

दिवाली से ठीक पहले दिल्ली की हवा की गुणवत्ता काफी खराब हो गई है, कई इलाकों में AQI 400 से ऊपर चला गया है। ITO और इंडिया गेट जैसी जगहों पर AQI क्रमशः 349 और 335 दर्ज किया गया, जो पिछले तीन दिनों में लगभग 150 अंकों की तेज वृद्धि दर्शाता है। प्रदूषण के बिगड़ने के जवाब में, दिल्ली-NCR में GRAP स्टेज-II लागू कर दिया गया है। इस सक्रियण के साथ खतरनाक हवा से निपटने के लिए वाहनों की आवाजाही, पार्किंग और निर्माण गतिविधियों पर कड़े प्रतिबंध लगाए गए हैं।
