Israel Revokes Dutch Diplomats' Status Over Sanctions

Israel has revoked the diplomatic status of Dutch diplomats in Ramallah in response to the Netherlands' ban on imports from Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. Foreign Minister Gidoen Saar stated that the Netherlands can represent its interests from Palestinian Authority territory instead of Israel. This action follows previous retaliatory measures against the UK and France for similar sanctions. The Dutch ban, effective September 22, prohibits the import, purchase, and sale of goods and services from illegal settlements.

इज़राइल ने वेस्ट बैंक में इजरायली बस्तियों से आयात पर नीदरलैंड्स द्वारा लगाए गए प्रतिबंध के जवाब में रामल्लाह में डच राजनयिकों का राजनयिक दर्जा रद्द कर दिया है। विदेश मंत्री गिडोन सार ने कहा कि नीदरलैंड्स इजराइल के बजाय फिलिस्तीनी प्राधिकरण क्षेत्र से अपने हितों का प्रतिनिधित्व कर सकता है। यह कार्रवाई इसी तरह के प्रतिबंधों के लिए यूके और फ्रांस के खिलाफ पहले की गई जवाबी कार्रवाई के बाद हुई है। 22 सितंबर से प्रभावी डच प्रतिबंध, अवैध बस्तियों से माल और सेवाओं के आयात, खरीद और बिक्री पर रोक लगाता है।
