Woman Alleges Husband Hid First Marriage, Assaulted, Confined Her

A 26-year-old woman in Ahmedabad has accused her husband of concealing his first marriage and two children before marrying her. She alleges he then assaulted, confined, and forced physical relations upon her in their rented Vadaj home. The woman learned of his prior marriage from his aunt about ten days after their wedding. She eventually fled to her parental home and has since refused to return, despite his alleged promises to divorce his first wife. Police are investigating charges of cheating, assault, and confinement.

अहमदाबाद में 26 साल की एक महिला ने अपने पति पर उससे शादी करने से पहले अपनी पहली शादी और दो बच्चों को छिपाने का आरोप लगाया है। उसने आरोप लगाया कि फिर उसने वडाज स्थित अपने किराए के घर में उसके साथ मारपीट की, उसे कैद किया और जबरन शारीरिक संबंध बनाए। महिला को शादी के करीब दस दिन बाद उसकी चाची से उसके पहले विवाह के बारे में पता चला। वह आखिरकार अपने माता-पिता के घर भाग गई और तब से वापस जाने से इनकार कर दिया है, भले ही उसने कथित तौर पर अपनी पहली पत्नी को तलाक देने का वादा किया हो। पुलिस धोखाधड़ी, मारपीट और कैद के आरोपों की जांच कर रही है।
