RBI Deputy Governor Sees Rupee Stabilising, Appreciating

The rupee's depreciation may be temporary, with potential for stabilisation and appreciation, according to RBI Deputy Governor Poonam Gupta. She stated the currency does not fully reflect India's strong economic growth of 7-8%. Gupta believes the balance of payments will improve, supported by services exports and remittances. She expects capital account pressures to ease later this financial year, driven by increased FDI and favourable corporate and bank balance sheets.

आरबीआई की डिप्टी गवर्नर पूनम गुप्ता ने कहा है कि रुपये का गिरना अस्थायी हो सकता है। उन्होंने बताया कि भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था 7-8% की दर से बढ़ रही है, लेकिन रुपया इसे पूरी तरह नहीं दिखा रहा। सेवाओं के निर्यात और विदेश से आने वाले पैसे से भुगतान संतुलन सुधरेगा। इस वित्तीय वर्ष के अंत तक FDI बढ़ने और कंपनियों की अच्छी स्थिति से दबाव कम होने की उम्मीद है।
