Indian Pilot Saves Flydubai Flight After Co-Pilot Attacks Him

An Indian pilot, Smit Machher, is being lauded for preventing a major disaster on Flydubai flight FZ1073. During the flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, the co-pilot attacked Machher. Despite being injured, Machher managed to open the cockpit door. With the help of passengers and a positioning pilot, the aircraft was stabilized. The plane had rapidly descended from 17,000 feet to half its altitude within 90 seconds.
