Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has vehemently denied reports linking him to a role within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), specifically as chief selector. He stated that all such claims are speculative and untrue, reaffirming his earlier stance of staying away from the PCB. Akhtar clarified that he has had no discussions with the PCB chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, regarding any potential appointment. While he expressed a desire to contribute to Pakistan cricket, he believes he can do so through means other than an official position.
