Private Universities in State Ordered to Submit 5 Years of Audit and Attendance Details

The Higher Education Department has directed all private universities in the State to submit audit reports and other details from the last five years, following a Supreme Court order. A meeting was held with Vice-Chancellors and registrars to discuss the submission, which includes financial statements, tax returns, and student records. While some universities complied, others raised objections regarding the request for student attendance data, questioning its necessity and feasibility. The Chief Secretary must submit an affidavit to the Supreme Court with the collected information.
