They visited areas like Bandra, Juhu, Yari Road, and Versova, assessing security arrangements. The accused posed as tourists to gather information and took photos and videos of celebrity residences. These visuals were later shared with gangster Anil Pandit via Telegram. The investigation revealed that the firearms were brought from Delhi to Mumbai by two women, Babita and Radha, before the attack.
