CBI ने पंजाब सरकार के 15 अहम विभागों में बड़े पैमाने पर भ्रष्टाचार के आरोपों की जांच शुरू कर दी है। यह जांच नीतिगत फैसलों और 'कैश फॉर पोस्टिंग एंड ट्रांसफर' योजनाओं पर केंद्रित है। एजेंसी ने अपनी जांच को तेज़ करने के लिए इन विभागों से गोपनीय रिकॉर्ड और ज़रूरी फाइलें मांगी हैं। स्पेशल सेक्रेटरी गौतम जैन को इस जांच के लिए नोडल अधिकारी नियुक्त किया गया है, जिसमें संवेदनशील मामले और बड़े नाम भी शामिल हैं। इस जांच का मकसद विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में नियुक्तियों, तबादलों और नीति से जुड़े सौदों में अनियमितताओं का पता लगाना है।
