A special court in Gwalior has acquitted a 22-year-old man, Vivek Bhadoria, of charges under the Pocso Act. The court found that the prosecution failed to prove the complainant was a minor at the time of the alleged offences. The complainant herself admitted in court to being born in December 2005, making her 18 during the alleged incidents. Further, DNA analysis found no male DNA traces, and the complainant denied several allegations from her initial statement.
