Indian Fisherman Dies In Pakistan Jail

Gujarati fisherman Bijalbhai Bhaliya died in a Pakistan jail, three weeks after his death his body was sent to India. He was arrested, by Pakistan Marine Security Agency along with his son Ashwin and four others for allegedly entering Pakistan's water territory. Bijalbhai's son Ashwin's sentence was completed four years ago, but he remains imprisoned. Activists state that disputes over maritime borders lead to such tragic incidents for fishermen.

गुजरात के मछुआरे बीजलभाई भालिया की पाकिस्तान की जेल में मौत हो गई, उनकी मौत के तीन हफ्ते बाद उनका शव भारत भेजा गया। उन पर पाकिस्तान के जल क्षेत्र में घुसने के आरोप में पाकिस्तान मरीन सिक्योरिटी एजेंसी ने उनके बेटे अश्विन और चार अन्य लोगों के साथ गिरफ्तार किया था। बीजलभाई के बेटे अश्विन की सज़ा चार साल पहले ही पूरी हो गई थी, लेकिन वह अभी भी जेल में बंद है। एक्टिविस्ट्स का कहना है कि समुद्री सीमाओं को लेकर विवादों के कारण मछुआरों के साथ ऐसी दुखद घटनाएं होती हैं।
