Platforms 1 and 2 at Chandigarh railway station will be closed until October 15 for redevelopment work. Passengers must check platform information before boarding, as trains like the Vande Bharat and Shatabdi Express will operate from other platforms. This closure is part of a phased station redevelopment by RLDA, involving girder work and the removal of an old foot overbridge. Several train services have been cancelled or short-terminated during different stages of this project, affecting numerous trips and impacting daily commuters.

चंडीगढ़ रेलवे स्टेशन के प्लेटफॉर्म 1 और 2 रीडेवलपमेंट के काम के लिए 15 अक्टूबर तक बंद रहेंगे। यात्रियों को ट्रेन में चढ़ने से पहले प्लेटफॉर्म की जानकारी ज़रूर जांच लेनी चाहिए, क्योंकि वंदे भारत और शताब्दी एक्सप्रेस जैसी ट्रेनें दूसरे प्लेटफॉर्म से चलेंगी। यह बंद आरएलडीए द्वारा स्टेशन के चरणबद्ध रीडेवलपमेंट का हिस्सा है, जिसमें गर्डर का काम और एक पुराने फुट ओवरब्रिज को हटाना शामिल है। इस प्रोजेक्ट के विभिन्न चरणों के दौरान कई ट्रेन सेवाएं रद्द या शॉर्ट-टर्मिनेट की गई हैं, जिससे कई यात्राएं प्रभावित हुई हैं और रोज़ाना आने-जाने वाले यात्रियों पर असर पड़ा है।
