Assam Cabinet Approves Land for Lovlina Boxing Academy

The Assam cabinet has approved land for the establishment of the Lovlina Boxing Academy in Palasbari revenue circle near Guwahati. A nominal premium of Re 1 was also waived on a four-bigha plot designated for the academy. This initiative honours Asian Games gold medalist Lovlina Borgohain. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated the move aims to provide the next generation of boxers from Assam with top-tier training facilities to achieve national pride.

असम कैबिनेट ने गुवाहाटी के पास पलासबाड़ी राजस्व सर्किल में लवलीन मुक्केबाजी अकादमी की स्थापना के लिए जमीन को मंजूरी दे दी है। अकादमी के लिए चार बीघा जमीन पर 1 रुपये का नाममात्र प्रीमियम भी माफ कर दिया गया है। यह पहल एशियाई खेलों की स्वर्ण पदक विजेता लवलीन बोरगोहेन के सम्मान में है। मुख्यमंत्री हिमंत बिस्वा सरमा ने कहा कि इस कदम का उद्देश्य असम के अगली पीढ़ी के मुक्केबाजों को राष्ट्रीय गौरव हासिल करने के लिए उच्च स्तरीय प्रशिक्षण सुविधाएं प्रदान करना है।
