Belagavi district now holds the distinction of being the largest revenue district in terms of voter numbers, with a final count of 36.35 lakh voters after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. This figure surpasses Bengaluru Urban's 24.1 lakh and Mysuru's 22.8 lakh voters. The revision process involved extensive verification, including 84,412 notices and hearings, resulting in a net decrease of 2,07,920 voters from the initial mapping.
