BJP Leader Accuses Punjab Govt of Farmer Exploitation Over Paddy Procurement

Former Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar has accused the Bhagwant Mann-led AAP government of allowing irregularities in paddy procurement. He claims farmers in border districts, particularly in Abohar, are facing deductions of 6 to 8 kg per quintal. Jakhar questioned the state government's claims of honesty, especially since the Centre provided procurement funds in advance. He also alleged commission agents are being charged for bag lifting, demanding an immediate end to the exploitation of farmers and agents.

पंजाब भाजपा के पूर्व अध्यक्ष सुनील जाखड़ ने भगवंत मान के नेतृत्व वाली AAP सरकार पर धान खरीद में अनियमितताओं की अनुमति देने का आरोप लगाया है। उनका दावा है कि सीमावर्ती जिलों, खासकर अबोहर में किसानों को प्रति क्विंटल 6 से 8 किलोग्राम की कटौती का सामना करना पड़ रहा है। जाखड़ ने राज्य सरकार के ईमानदारी के दावों पर सवाल उठाया, खासकर तब जब केंद्र ने खरीद के लिए अग्रिम धनराशि प्रदान की थी। उन्होंने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि कमीशन एजेंटों से बैग उठाने के लिए शुल्क लिया जा रहा है, और किसानों व एजेंटों के शोषण को तुरंत समाप्त करने की मांग की है।
