Fast-track Courts Face Massive Case Backlog

Fast-track courts are struggling with a significant backlog of cases, with over 2.5 lakh cases pending. Last year alone, out of 1.4 lakh rape and Pocso cases, only 66,500 were disposed of. This slow pace in clearing cases, particularly those involving serious crimes like rape and child abuse, raises concerns about the justice delivery system's efficiency and the impact on victims awaiting resolution.

फास्ट-ट्रैक कोर्ट में केसों का अंबार लगा है, ढाई लाख से ज़्यादा मामले अटके पड़े हैं। पिछले साल रेप और पोक्सो के 1.4 लाख केसों में से सिर्फ 66,500 ही निपटाए जा सके। इतने धीमे काम से न्याय मिलने में देरी हो रही है, खासकर रेप और बच्चों से जुड़े गंभीर मामलों में। इससे पीड़ितों को इंसाफ मिलने में और देर होगी, जो चिंता की बात है।
