IMD Forecasts Rain, Thunderstorms In 8 States; Cyclone Murasu Weakens

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds across eight states in the coming days. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal are expected to experience thunderstorms with winds up to 60 kmph and isolated rainfall. Meanwhile, Cyclone Murasu has weakened into a depression over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and is likely to further dissipate into a low-pressure area. Other regions like Madhya Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Karnataka may also see showers. Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana are expected to remain dry.
