First Bullet Train Steel Bridge Launched Over Highway

The first steel bridge for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project in Maharashtra has been successfully launched over the Nashik Highway in Bhiwandi. This 100-meter-long, 1,405-metric-tonne structure was fabricated in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, and transported to the site for assembly. The launch was carefully managed during night traffic blocks to minimize disruption to motorists. This bridge is part of the 28 steel bridges planned for the corridor, with 16 already completed, facilitating crossings over highways and rivers.
