Telangana's Rural Water Supply Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka has directed officials to prepare habitation-wise summer action plans to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply across the state, anticipating the impact of El Niño. Key directives include identifying alternative water sources, completing borewell recharge structures, and taking up check dams. Officials must also ensure emergency pumps are ready and non-functional ones repaired to maintain supply even if reservoir levels drop. Awareness programs will encourage farmers to adopt short-duration crops.

Telangana की Rural Water Supply मंत्री Danasari Anasuya Seethakka ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया है कि वे एल नीनो के प्रभाव को देखते हुए पूरे राज्य में निर्बाध पेयजल आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने के लिए हैबिटेशन-वार समर एक्शन प्लान तैयार करें। मुख्य निर्देशों में वैकल्पिक जल स्रोतों की पहचान करना, बोरवेल रिचार्ज स्ट्रक्चर को पूरा करना और चेक डैम का निर्माण करना शामिल है। अधिकारियों को यह भी सुनिश्चित करना होगा कि आपातकालीन पंप तैयार रहें और गैर-कार्यात्मक पंपों की मरम्मत की जाए ताकि जलाशय का स्तर गिरने पर भी आपूर्ति बनी रहे। किसानों को छोटी अवधि की फसलें अपनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने हेतु जागरूकता कार्यक्रम चलाए जाएंगे।
