Woman, Daughter-in-Law Electrocuted By Snapped Power Cable In Ghaziabad Field

A woman and her daughter-in-law were electrocuted to death in a field in Ghaziabad's Raj Nagar Extension on Tuesday morning after coming into contact with a snapped power cable. The incident occurred around 6 AM while they were working. The victims, identified as Satyawati (50) and Ruby (20), died instantly, while Satyawati's 18-year-old daughter sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment. Police suspect construction work in the area, possibly involving an earthmover hitting an electric pole, led to the cable snapping and falling into the field.

गाजियाबाद के राज नगर एक्सटेंशन में मंगलवार सुबह एक खेत में काम कर रही महिला और उसकी बहू बिजली के टूटे तार की चपेट में आने से झुलस गईं। यह घटना सुबह करीब 6 बजे हुई। दोनों की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। मृतक सत्यवती (50) और रूबी (20) थीं, जबकि सत्यवती की 18 साल की बेटी घायल हो गई, जिसका इलाज चल रहा है। पुलिस को शक है कि इलाके में चल रहे निर्माण कार्य के दौरान किसी अर्थमूवर से बिजली का खंभा टकरा गया होगा, जिससे तार टूटकर खेत में गिर गया।
