DMK president M K Stalin has sharply criticized the ruling TVK party, labeling it a 'breaking bad party' following the arrest of one of its functionaries. Boopalan, a TVK election in-charge from Nagapattinam district, was apprehended by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence. Preliminary investigations suggest Boopalan was concealing 135 kilograms of methamphetamine. Stalin urged authorities to thoroughly investigate the seizure, identify all involved, and dismantle the wider drug network. He questioned the party's stance on drug eradication given this large-scale narcotics seizure.
