Four Held in Angul For Killing Wild Boar With Bait Bomb; Six Explosives Seized

Wildlife officials in Angul, Odisha, have arrested four individuals in connection with the poaching of a wild boar using a crude explosive-laced bait bomb. The operation, conducted during a night patrol in the Biripal reserved forest, also led to the seizure of six additional bait bombs and a motorcycle. This timely intervention prevented further potential casualties among wildlife. The forest department is investigating the origin of the explosives and the poachers' methods, highlighting the cruel nature of bait bombs which explode upon being bitten.

ओडिशा के अंगुल में वन्यजीव अधिकारियों ने एक जंगली सूअर के शिकार के मामले में चार लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया है। शिकार के लिए विस्फोटक से लदा चारा बम इस्तेमाल किया गया था। बिरिपाल आरक्षित जंगल में रात की गश्त के दौरान यह कार्रवाई हुई। इस दौरान छह और चारा बम और एक मोटरसाइकिल भी जब्त की गई। इस समय पर की गई कार्रवाई से वन्यजीवों को और नुकसान होने से बचाया जा सका। वन विभाग इस बात की जांच कर रहा है कि ये विस्फोटक कहां से आए और शिकारियों के तरीके क्या थे। यह चारा बमों के क्रूर तरीके को उजागर करता है, जो काटने पर फट जाते हैं।
