Australia is facing intense scrutiny and calls for change following a dismal batting performance that led to a 2-1 Test series defeat against South Africa. Former player David Warner described the capitulation as "utterly disgraceful" and "un-Australian," highlighting a lack of fight. The loss also saw South Africa overtake Australia in the ICC Test rankings. Questions are being raised about the team's ageing bowling attack and inconsistent batting lineup, with skipper Pat Cummins acknowledging that personnel changes are possible.
