Engineer Develops Wearable Device For Parkinson's Patients

Electrical engineer Amey Desai has developed a wearable device called 'WALK' to assist Parkinson's patients experiencing freezing of gait. Desai, founder of Lifespark Technologies, was inspired by his own family's experience with the condition. The device aims to help individuals take the next step when their feet become immobile. Lifespark is also developing PATHFINDER, a platform to track movement and assess fall risk, supporting rehabilitation efforts for those with neurological conditions.
