₹2,459 Crore Ponzi Case: ED Alleges Funds Routed Through Family Accounts

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a prosecution complaint in Mangaluru against five individuals and entities in a ₹2,459 crore Ponzi scheme case. The alleged mastermind, Shivanand Siddappa Neelannavar, and his firm Shivam Associates are named in the complaint filed on October 9. The ED estimates that over 35,000 investors were defrauded, with principal amounts totalling ₹2,125.60 crore left unpaid. Funds were allegedly diverted to stock markets, real estate, film production, and personal accounts of Neelannavar's family members.
