Jharkhand tribal leader Nisha Kumari Bhagat was found dead at her Ranchi residence on Friday, reportedly by suicide. Hours earlier, she had posted a Facebook Live video alleging threats for speaking out against the Jharkhand government and land brokers. In the nearly 11-minute video, she appeared to name Chief Minister Hemant Soren, a police official, and another individual as responsible for her death. Police suspect suicide and have launched an investigation, with her body sent for a post-mortem examination.
