A complaint alleging gold is missing from the dome of the Kashi Vishwanath Temple has reached the PMO. Lawyer Nityanand Rai claims gold plates are disappearing from several parts of the gilded dome, a concern he has raised with temple authorities, the Chief Minister's Office, and the PMO. Temple administration has refuted these allegations, stating the gold is secure. Rai, who first noticed the alleged discrepancies in September 2026, has requested a white paper on the matter.
