US Agrees to Return Funds to Belarus

The United States has agreed to return "unreleased funds" to Belarus, according to US special presidential envoy John Coale. He stated this during talks with President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk. Coale mentioned that the US is actively seeking the release of these funds from Citibank. President Lukashenko had previously noted that approximately $43-44 million paid by a foreign company to Belarus was held up at Citibank, and he requested the US to facilitate its return.

अमेरिका ने बेलारूस को "जारी न किए गए फंड" वापस करने पर सहमति जताई है। यह बात अमेरिकी विशेष राष्ट्रपति दूत जॉन कोएल ने मिंस्क में राष्ट्रपति अलेक्जेंडर लुकाशेंको से बातचीत के दौरान कही। कोएल ने बताया कि अमेरिका सिटीबैंक से इन फंडों को जारी कराने की कोशिश कर रहा है। लुकाशेंको ने पहले कहा था कि एक विदेशी कंपनी द्वारा बेलारूस को दिया गया करीब 43-44 मिलियन डॉलर सिटीबैंक में फंसा हुआ है, जिसे वापस दिलाने का उन्होंने अमेरिका से अनुरोध किया था।
