Disney Hires Karandeep Anand as First CTO

Walt Disney has appointed Karandeep Anand, former CEO of AI chatbot service Character.AI, as its first Chief Technology Officer. Anand's appointment, effective October 2, comes as the media industry faces disruption from AI and consolidation. He will oversee enterprise technology, AI platforms, and engineering across Disney's segments. Anand previously held senior roles at Meta and Microsoft, and helped build Azure. A number of Character.AI's technical staff are expected to join him at Disney.

वॉल्ट डिज़्नी ने कैरेक्टर.एआई (Character.AI) के पूर्व सीईओ करनदीप आनंद को अपना पहला चीफ टेक्नोलॉजी ऑफिसर (CTO) नियुक्त किया है। यह नियुक्ति 2 अक्टूबर से प्रभावी होगी। आनंद अब डिज़्नी के सभी विभागों में एंटरप्राइज टेक्नोलॉजी, AI प्लेटफॉर्म और इंजीनियरिंग का नेतृत्व करेंगे। वह पहले मेटा और माइक्रोसॉफ्ट में भी बड़े पदों पर रह चुके हैं। उम्मीद है कि कैरेक्टर.एआई के कई तकनीकी कर्मचारी भी उनके साथ डिज़्नी में शामिल होंगे।
