Japan emerged as India's largest source of FDI in the first quarter of the current fiscal year (April-June), injecting $5.71 billion. This figure significantly surpasses the $3.74 billion received throughout the entire previous fiscal year. In the same period, FDI from the United States saw a sharp 76% decline to $1.34 billion, while Singapore ranked second with $5.22 billion in equity inflows. Experts attribute Japan's increased investment to supply chain diversification and growing confidence in India's long-term manufacturing, financial services, and technology sectors.
