Ludhiana Roads Remain Potholed After Nine Months

Residents of Ludhiana's Dugri area have been enduring damaged roads for nine months due to pipeline excavation for a water supply project. The poor road conditions, particularly between Green Land Convent School and Bal Bharti Public School, have made commutes difficult and increased accident risks. Officials cited technical testing and weather delays for the prolonged work. While repairs are underway, numerous other city roads also require resurfacing, leading to further delays. Residents fear worsening conditions with winter fog, and the Mayor has directed officials to expedite the blacktopping process.

लुधियाना के दुगरी इलाके के लोग 9 महीने से खराब सड़कों से परेशान हैं। यह पानी सप्लाई प्रोजेक्ट के लिए पाइपलाइन खोदने की वजह से हुआ है। ग्रीन लैंड कॉन्वेंट स्कूल और बाल भारती पब्लिक स्कूल के बीच की सड़कें बहुत खराब हैं, जिससे आना-जाना मुश्किल हो गया है और हादसे का खतरा बढ़ गया है। अफसरों ने बताया कि तकनीकी जांच और मौसम की वजह से काम में देरी हुई है। मरम्मत का काम चल रहा है, लेकिन शहर की कई दूसरी सड़कों को भी ठीक करने की जरूरत है, जिससे और देरी हो रही है। लोगों को डर है कि सर्दियों के कोहरे से हालात और बिगड़ जाएंगे।
