WHO Declares Uganda Ebola Outbreak Over

The World Health Organization has officially declared the Ebola outbreak in Uganda to be over. This declaration comes after 42 consecutive days passed without any new reported transmissions of the virus. While Uganda is now Ebola-free, the organization noted that cases of the disease continue to rise in the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo.
