Car wash centres are adopting labour-intensive methods like using sponges instead of pressure washers, which increases cleaning time and reduces the number of vehicles they can serve daily. Domestic cleaners are also facing reduced work, with daily appointments dropping significantly, leading to a fall in their income. Workers are concerned about the duration of these restrictions and the long-term impact on their livelihoods.
