Journalists faced significant disruption in Kolkata as accreditation cards for the India vs Brazil international friendly match remained uncollected a day before the game. The application portal opened on September 19, with a deadline for collection set for Friday afternoon. Confusion arose due to conflicting emails about collection times, leaving many reporters, including international media, irate. An All India Football Federation official cited logistical issues with printing and transportation from Mumbai as the cause. Approved journalists were later informed they could collect passes on Saturday morning from a hotel.
