Kodagu police are implementing enhanced security measures for the upcoming Dasara celebrations in Madikeri and Gonikoppa. Superintendent of Police Bindumani announced that an additional police force will be deployed to ensure smooth festivities. In Madikeri, 1,421 police personnel, including women Pink Force and eight police 'Jumbo' teams, will be on duty to prevent incidents targeting women. Special attention will be given to prevent eve-teasing and other atrocities. The sale of masks and whistles is prohibited, and anti-sabotage teams with a dog squad will be present.
