National Award-winning filmmaker Vinod Kapri's acclaimed Himalayan love story, 'Pyre,' is set to release in cinemas across India on October 23. The film was inspired by an elderly couple Kapri met in Uttarakhand's Munsiyari village in 2018, whose conversation about goats and survival highlighted the quiet loneliness of growing old. 'Pyre' explores the emotional impact on parents left behind when younger generations migrate for opportunities, focusing on an ageing couple living in a remote Kumaon village.

राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता फिल्मकार विनोद कपरी की चर्चित हिमालयी प्रेम कहानी 'पायर' 23 अक्टूबर को पूरे भारत के सिनेमाघरों में रिलीज होने वाली है। यह फिल्म 2018 में उत्तराखंड के मुनस्यारी गांव में कपरी की मुलाकात एक बुजुर्ग जोड़े से हुई थी, जिनसे उनकी बकरियों और जीवनयापन को लेकर हुई बातचीत ने बड़े होते जाने के अकेलेपन को उजागर किया था। 'पायर' दूरस्थ कुमाऊं गांव में रहने वाले एक बुजुर्ग जोड़े पर केंद्रित है और उन माता-पिता पर पड़ने वाले भावनात्मक प्रभाव को दर्शाती है जब युवा पीढ़ी अवसरों के लिए पलायन कर जाती है।
