Kerala HC Seeks Govt Views on Special Mechanism for Cyberbullying

The Kerala High Court has directed the state government to submit an affidavit within two weeks regarding a PIL. The PIL seeks a coordinated state-level mechanism to prevent and investigate serious cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and online harassment cases. The petitioner requested the formation of a special investigation team to monitor social media trends and identify coordinated harassment patterns. The court also seeks protocols for digital evidence preservation and effective implementation of IT rules for offender identification.

केरल हाई कोर्ट ने राज्य सरकार को एक PIL के संबंध में दो सप्ताह के भीतर एक हलफनामा दाखिल करने का निर्देश दिया है। PIL में गंभीर साइबरबुलिंग, साइबरस्टॉकिंग और ऑनलाइन उत्पीड़न के मामलों को रोकने और उनकी जांच के लिए एक समन्वित राज्य-स्तरीय तंत्र की मांग की गई है। याचिकाकर्ता ने सोशल मीडिया के रुझानों की निगरानी करने और समन्वित उत्पीड़न पैटर्न की पहचान करने के लिए एक विशेष जांच दल के गठन का अनुरोध किया। अदालत ने डिजिटल साक्ष्य संरक्षण के लिए प्रोटोकॉल और अपराधी की पहचान के लिए IT नियमों के प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन की भी मांग की है।
