Four Assam Workers Die in Meghalaya Septic Tank

Four construction workers from Assam have died in Meghalaya's South Garo Hills district after allegedly inhaling toxic gas inside a newly constructed septic tank. The incident occurred when two workers attempting to open the tank's lid collapsed, followed by two others who tried to help. Rescue teams faced difficulties reaching the victims due to the underground location. Two firefighters also fainted during the rescue operation but received medical attention.

मेघालय के दक्षिण गारो हिल्स जिले में एक नए बने सेप्टिक टैंक के अंदर जहरीली गैस में सांस लेने के बाद असम के चार निर्माण श्रमिकों की मौत हो गई। यह घटना तब हुई जब दो मजदूर टैंक का ढक्कन खोलने की कोशिश कर रहे थे और गिर गए, उसके बाद मदद करने की कोशिश कर रहे दो अन्य भी गिर गए। बचाव दल को पीड़ितों तक पहुँचने में उनके भूमिगत स्थान के कारण कठिनाइयों का सामना करना पड़ा। बचाव अभियान के दौरान दो अग्निशामक भी बेहोश हो गए लेकिन उन्हें चिकित्सा सहायता मिली।
