The Trivandrum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) has demanded a time-bound inquiry into alleged administrative lapses concerning the Vizhinjam International Seaport expansion. This follows a high court order halting construction at Pulinkudy beach due to questions about environmental clearances. TCCI cited administrative negligence and conflicting official submissions as serious concerns. The chamber urged the state government to establish facts, fix responsibility, and take action if negligence is proven. The court has ordered a joint inspection and sought clarification on statutory clearances before the next hearing.

त्रिवेंद्रम चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री (TCCI) ने विझिंजम इंटरनेशनल सीपोर्ट विस्तार से जुड़ी कथित प्रशासनिक चूक की समयबद्ध जांच की मांग की है। यह मांग पर्यावरण मंजूरी पर सवाल उठने के बाद पुलिंकुडी बीच पर निर्माण रोकने के हाई कोर्ट के आदेश के बाद आई है। TCCI ने प्रशासनिक लापरवाही और सरकारी विभागों की विरोधाभासी दलीलों को गंभीर चिंता का विषय बताया है। चैंबर ने राज्य सरकार से तथ्यों का पता लगाने, जिम्मेदारी तय करने और लापरवाही साबित होने पर कार्रवाई करने का आग्रह किया है। अदालत ने अगली सुनवाई से पहले एक संयुक्त निरीक्षण का आदेश दिया है और वैधानिक मंजूरियों पर स्पष्टीकरण मांगा है।
