Over the past three years, nearly 1,000 new hotel plans have been approved, showing a steady increase in annual approvals. Major hospitality players like Mahindra Holidays and ITC Hotels are investing hundreds of crores in cities like Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Lucknow. This growth is attributed to improved law and order and tourism infrastructure, driving tourist inflow which more than doubled from 2024 to 2025.
