INS Vikrant Modified For Rafale M Fighter Jet Induction French Carrier's Landing Aid Added

India's first domestically built aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant, has undergone modifications to prepare for the induction of 26 naval variant Rafale M fighter jets, with deliveries starting from late 2028. The 45,000-tonne ship recently saw its first landing of a Rafale M, a significant step towards operational readiness. A triangle landing aid, similar to that on the French carrier Charles de Gaulle, has been added to the flight deck. While the landing proves the aircraft and ship can work together, further integration and deck handling tests are required.
