Bombay HC Slams Officer For Misusing CJI's Name To Halt Temple Trust Appointments

The Bombay High Court has strongly reprimanded a former senior official of its administration for allegedly misusing the name of the then Chief Justice to halt appointments to the Shri Saptashrungi Nivasini Devi Trust in Nashik. The court found that the official, Anju Shende, sent an email directing the halt of the appointment process for five selected candidates without any official record or written proposal. Justices GS Kulkarni and NV Gokhle invalidated the order, calling it inappropriate conduct and potentially serious misconduct.

बॉम्बे हाई कोर्ट ने अपने प्रशासन के एक पूर्व वरिष्ठ अधिकारी को नासिक के श्री सप्तश्रृंगी निवासिनी देवी ट्रस्ट में नियुक्तियों को रोकने के लिए तत्कालीन मुख्य न्यायाधीश का नाम कथित तौर पर दुरुपयोग करने के लिए कड़ी फटकार लगाई है। कोर्ट ने पाया कि अधिकारी, अंजू शेंडे ने बिना किसी आधिकारिक रिकॉर्ड या लिखित प्रस्ताव के पांच चयनित उम्मीदवारों की नियुक्ति प्रक्रिया रोकने का निर्देश देते हुए एक ईमेल भेजा था। जस्टिस जीएस कुलकर्णी और एनवी गोखले ने इस आदेश को अयोग्य आचरण और संभावित गंभीर कदाचार बताते हुए अमान्य कर दिया।
