Kerala's Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob announced that Supplyco has received conditional permission to re-enter agreements with rice mills that previously failed to complete milling within the deadline. This decision aims to ensure timely rice procurement for the current Kharif season and alleviate concerns surrounding the process. The extension for milling the 2025-26 Kharif season's paddy is pending Central government approval, with a request to extend the deadline to October 31. Mills must provide affidavits confirming accurate accounting of previous stocks and liabilities before new agreements are finalized.

केरल के खाद्य और नागरिक आपूर्ति मंत्री अनूप जैकब ने घोषणा की कि Supplyco को उन चावल मिलों के साथ फिर से समझौते करने की सशर्त अनुमति मिल गई है जिन्होंने पहले समय सीमा के भीतर मिलिंग पूरी नहीं की थी। इस फैसले का उद्देश्य वर्तमान खरीफ मौसम के लिए समय पर चावल की खरीद सुनिश्चित करना और इस प्रक्रिया से जुड़ी चिंताओं को दूर करना है। 2025-26 खरीफ मौसम के धान की मिलिंग के लिए समय सीमा बढ़ाने का अनुरोध केंद्रीय सरकार की मंजूरी के अधीन है, जिसमें 31 अक्टूबर तक समय सीमा बढ़ाने का अनुरोध किया गया है।
